Pros
Megan Racing has built a reputation among car enthusiasts by providing aftermarket parts at affordable prices. The Megan 2004 and up Scion header is just one of many products sold through their company. Highly polished T-304 stainless steel serves as dual-purpose components for both show enthusiasts looking to score some bonus points with judges and for those performance-minded individuals looking to squeeze a few ponies out from their rides. With mandrel bent tubing and a CNC machined flange, we were quick to notice the difference between the Megan header and the factory unit, which comprised of smaller diameter piping and a restrictive pinch-bent design leading to the main collector which obviously amounts to a loss in horsepower.
Cons
Dubbed as a "racing header," the Megan header eliminates the catalytic built into the main header system. While removing your catalytic is deemed illegal in many states and we "ahem"...say keep it legal, the tradeoff of not having one of the two cats is a tough decision to make when taking into consideration the potential gains in horsepower that you would achieve.

Notes
Substantial gains were achieved when we replaced the factory header with the Megan race header. Gains in the midrange were increased by as many as 11hp and 11 lb-ft of torque while top end above 5500 rpm where horsepower seems to falter for the larger displaced Scion was rewarded with 17hp and 15 lb-ft of torque.
Conclusion
Who could have imagined that using just three power adders to the Scion TC would extract 16hp and 7 lb-ft of torque over our original baseline numbers? A quick test drive around the block and it was obvious, this tC definitely had some get up and go, making the car more of an enjoyment to drive.
