House Arrest - Kill Time Killing Everything

Last year's E3 video game convention debuted a demo version of Capcom's Okami, and it set the gaming world on it's ear with its completely unique animation and gameplay style. As one of 2006's most anticipated releases, Okami completely rethinks how video games look and play by having gamers immersed in a 3D environment that is like being inside a traditional Japanese watercolor painting. Following the dramatic art style is a deep storyline that uses Japanese myths, folklore, and mysticism to weave a story of the sun god, Amaterasu, who has returned to the world in the form of a great, white wolf--Okami. Gamers must break the dark curse that keeps the world suspended as a bleak wasteland by traveling the world to regain lost powers and defeating all those who hope to keep the world forever desolate.

The artwork style of the game might look like a straight-up RPG, but Okami is billed as an action game, filled with adventure, lots of fighting, and puzzles to solve before saving the world. Fortunately for gamers, Okami is more than just an "ordinary" wolf, he comes with the ability to acquire powerful moves for those mega-power hits to bring down multiple enemies and large monsters. As gamers progress through the game, experience boosts power and adds to the number of attacks available to use against the increasingly strong enemies. Winning both small and large battles brings life to the surrounding areas with a sweep of the calligraphy brush as gamers watch a once deserted area come alive in gorgeous color. Okami is an incredible looking game that gets big points for it's new take on an action adventure game.
