MLB '06: The Show for PSP has taken a leap since last year's version with a big new line-up of game modes, options and features. Fans of the PSP series can count on top features returning for 2006, including online options in Ad Hoc or Infrastructure mode, Quick Game, Release Point Pitching and Playmaker Fielding. The new game modes for MLB '06 are well-done and deep, bringing baseball fans new gaming challenges that will last the entire season.

Competition junkies can get on board with Rivalry Mode and go up against other players in multi-game rivalries, or choose to test out their skills against the AI while keeping track of stats the whole time. Also hot is Multi-Branch Fielding that gives gamers the ability to take full control of fielders to pull off great moves like relays and double plays that look smooth with no jerky animation. For the hardcore baseball fans, the new Season Mode lets gamers play one season, or stick it out with one team for the long run and play several seasons to try for multiple championships. Finishing out the top new features is the Career Mode that allows gamer's to create a player, pick a team and go out on the road. The new 40-man Roster gives gamers the ability to manage every player for every game. Rounding out the game is the great game-specific commentary done in real time with commentators Rex Hudler, Matt Vasgersian, and Dave Campbell. MLB '06: The Show goes all-out to give gamers an exciting, deep sports game that doesn't require a console.
