Melyssa Grace is one funny girl...sort of. She laughs at everything including my name, the phone and the grass on the ground. It's quite refreshing actually. At only 24 years of age, she's got a head start on most of the world. Modeling for the past 10 years has helped her become one of the hottest tuner girls of 2007. She's everywhere at the moment, and you couldn't miss her if you tried. But why would you want to? This Filipino/German long-legged beauty is a step up from the rest of us, and she shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.
2nr: Melyssa Grace? We have quite opposite schedules don't we? You're up really early, and I'm out really late... it's a wonder we even made this work!
Melyssa Grace: I am so busy these days!
2nr: Well, I'm glad you made time for us... tell me about how you got into modeling?
MG: I was always taller than most of my peers. I stuck out in any crowd, big time. By the time I was 13, I was doing beauty pageants and constantly being asked about modeling. I begged my mom to enroll me in modeling school, and I just fell in love with the camera. Then I just happened to walk into gig after gig; right place at the right time sort of thing. I also met the CEO of Island Hunnies, Yvonne Walker, and she has helped me a lot with bookings. I'm a lucky girl.
2nr: Besides 2nr, what other work in the car scene have you done?
MG: This year, I'm an official Hot Import Nights tour model, so you have plenty of opportunities to catch me at shows. I'm also representing my hometown as "Miss Krown San Diego" and will appear in the 2008 D2/Autoworld calendar. As well as being the official spokesmodel for Exotic Car Agents, I'm the 2007 spokesmodel for California Truckjam, which means I'll be hosting the event. And if you can't come and see me there, you can always vote for me in Maxim's Hometown Hottie semi-finals. As you can see, I like to stay busy doing what I love. Life is great!
2nr: I am exhausted just thinking about that. Please tell me you have time to hang out with your friends and be crazy...
MG: Oh yeah, I can be found in the Gaslamp district of San Diego. My sexy lady friends and I club hop around here. I'm not much of a drinker, so I'm sparked off Red Bull and refuse to go home until it wears off, which is like 2 hours after last call. We usually are silly and have pedi-cab races and pose with the S.D.P.D cars, 'cause I just love the San Diego cops. And after a tiring night in the city, if the sun is out, I turn into a sunbather at Pacific Beach the next morning.
2nr: So, you harass not only the poor pedi-cab drivers, but the cops too? I suppose you can get away with just about anything. If you ever get pulled over, just show em' the glove box full of pictures and they should let you go...maybe. What do you drive anyway?
MG: At the moment I drive a Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG and a Lincoln LS V8. Ultimately, I will own my dream car-a Bentley Continental GTC, in silver, with an added coat of silver glitter paint to give it some more Bling-Bling, and of course, white rabbit fur interior. Can you picture me rollin'?
2nr: No, I can picture thousands of animal-rights activists throwing red paint all over your Bentley and its rabbit fur! Maybe we should say it's faux, you know, just between you and me.
2nr: Let's talk about boys, 'cause we can... anyone in particular you'd like to get your hands on?
MG: Hmmm... I've always had this thing for Will Demps of the NY Giants. I've never actually met him, but I do know he's smokin' hot! I like that tall, dark, handsome, exotic look. But truly, it's a guy that can make me laugh and smile and keep me happy that drives me wild.
2nr: So, what is the best way for a guy to pick you up then?
MG: You know, I am so blind to that stuff. I assume guys are just nice to me because I'm outgoing and love to laugh. Besides, if he's cute and can hold a conversation with class, I'll probably hit him up for his digits before he has the chance to ask for mine.
2nr: I'm pretty oblivious to that sort of thing too, but Melyssa, let me tell you, I'm pretty sure they're always hitting on you! What feature do you get complimented on the most?
MG; My long legs, tanned skin, exotic look ... and sometimes my boobs!
2nr: Because they're..
MG: Real-ly great!
2nr: Right.
MG: I happen to love my eyes because they naturally get this flirty look when I blush and giggle, and it seems to be contagious.
2nr: Yeah, your laugh is definitely contagious.
2nr: Besides modeling, what are your plans for the future?
MG: I just want to be rich, famous and beautiful! But besides that, I want to continue investing in properties. When it comes time to grow up and act like an adult, I'll sell and eventually open up my own sushi restaurant. When I'm about 29, hopefully some guy will want to marry me and start a beautiful family with me. I want to have 4 kids and live in Hawaii.
2nr: Stupid question, but why Hawaii?
MG: I spent my childhood in Hawaii and I loved it. My dad was in the military, but after 7 years on Oahu we moved to California. It's like a dream vacation every day. There's this quiet place in Maui near Ka'anapali that has the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. That and in the Phillippines, near my grandmother's house, there's a river where I like to hang out in a canoe and drift all day, dreaming. I'm a big dreamer. It just has to be Hawaii though.
2nr: It seems like most of your dreams are already coming true. What's the moment you're most proud of so far?
MG: I am continually proud of myself every day. I am living my childhood dream, and not many people can say that. I am a sincere and sweet person. It makes me proud knowing that people in my life are proud of me and enjoy knowing me. They are the heart of my inspiration.
2nr: It's all gone a bit too serious and nice; we have to be more exciting than this! When you're partying with the girls, what's on the iPod?
MG: I'm into the hip hop stuff when it comes time to get crunk, like in the car doing 90 on the highway. At the gym I do Mariah Carey on my iPod, but when I want to chill I listen to Slightly Stoopid, Breezy Diega and Jack Johnson.
2nr: When you're chillin' listening to Breezy Diega, what jeans have you got on?
MG: Since I have a height issue, jeans are a hard thing for me to find. I'm a kickback sweats and tank top kind of girl during the day. I like to stay comfy and cute at the same time. You can always find a sexy little Victoria's Secret 2 piece underneath those sweats though.
2nr: I think that pretty much describes you to a tee. Or a Ti...
MG: Huh?
2nr: Nevermind. Thanks for making time for me, I know it was kind of a pain in the ass. At least we could laugh through the entire thing though.
